TOP 1: Update on the Leoben Team progress by Elmar
Niko will share his ICRA draft. Further, he will have another meeting with Ege and Adna to discuss a joint RAAD submission on the 20th of December.
Linus presented his HRI SLAM / LLM approach and results. Philipp suggested collaborating as Adna was also working on LLMs. A concrete collaboration topic would be to invest human experience in using the system. The target conference could be ROMAN.
Linus and Niko and Elmar will visit Erlange in 2024. Mid. Feb. to April would work best.
TOP 2: Update on the Erlangen Team progress by Philipp
Adna presented her ATAR results. 28 participants, well balanced. NN trained on expert data is similarly rated as the expert/human. Findings: Humans definitely see the difference between humans and artificial agents. The results are promising and will be published in the next weeks. The next steps are some statistical tests, ANOVA, etc.
Ege presented his findings and the status of the wire-maze tasks. Clear next steps are adding the orientation to the gripper, the detection of touch events in the real-world and in computer simulations. Ege focuses on the technical aspects and Adna starts to transfer the ATARi results to the wire-maze task. One of Ege’s research contributions is exploiting touch events for learning.
Ege also presented his ideas and first results on shared control from trust. The goal is to adapt the stiffness of the robot controller to measures of trust via ECG or EDA.
