Details on the Meeting Notes

TOP 1: Update on the Leoben Team progress by Elmar

Niko is currently investigating more advanced shared policy exploration strategies because the navie approaches did not generalize to high-dimensional spaces. The approach fails in > 5-dimensional spaces.  After the first RL paper is done, Niko will study in Erlangen the wire maze task.

Fotis is waiting for the ECAI reviews on his representation learning paper. The next research study should focus on reinforcement learning, which is closer related to the TRAIN project.

Vedant will submit his current research paper on empowerment to AAAI which is not involving any human expertise. However, an internship project will start in July for three months investigating low-level control strategies in locomotion on a quadruped. This project could be triggered with human expertise which is something we may invest.

TOP 2: Update on the Erlangen Team progress by Philipp

Adna: 3 students working on the project. M.Sc. student will finish mid of August. He is currently evaluating the real maze task. A Bachelor student is working with the biopac device. The goal is to measure trust by investigating emotions.

In the Atari online questionary, there are now 23 participants. Elmar will ask all students of his block lecture to contribute to the questionary in the first week of October.
